Lorenzen Wright Found Dead
Description: Learn GarageBand in only 30 days! http://mhlo.co/GarageBandApp http://www.mahalo.com/lorenzen-wright The mystery surrounding the death of former NBA player Lorenzen Wright continues. Wright's body was found near Memphis, Tennessee, on July 28, 2010 - ten days after he was first reported missing. The Memphis Commercial Appeal quotes two law enforcement officials as confirming that the body discovered in a wooded area about 15 miles south of the city was the 34-year-old Wright. Wright's uncle told the Associated Press that police called Wright's father shortly after the body was found to break the news. Wright spent 13 seasons in the NBA, playing for the Los Angeles Clippers, the Atlanta Hawks, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Sacramento Kings and, most recently, the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wright was last seen on July 18 when he was expected to fly out of Memphis back to his home in the Atlanta area. It is not yet known exactly how Wright died though there is a record of a 911 call from Wright's cell phone on July 19. According to My Eyewitness News, the voice on the phone yelled out two expletives before being cut off abruptly by the sound of gun shots. Wright's family issued a statement saying they had "come together to mourn his loss and honor his legacy." They asked for privacy as they "try to cope with his sudden loss." Wright leaves behind six children - two daughters and four sons - ages 4 to 15.
