Selected in the first round (25th overall pick) of the 2006 NBA Draft by the Cavaliers ... Acquired from Cleveland, along with Drew Gooden, Larry Hughes and Cedric Simmons, in exchange for Ben Wallace, Joe Smith and a future second round pick (02/21/08).

2006-07 SEASON: Played in 23 games (five starts)…averaged 3.2 points and 0.9 rebounds in 8.8 minutes per game… in his five starts, averaged 3.4 points and 1.4 rebounds in 14.2 minutes…scored a career-high 14 points on 4-6 shooting including a perfect 3-3 from three-point range vs. Toronto on March 3…grabbed a career-high five rebounds at Houston on Dec. 2…led the team in steals on three occasions…made his first career start on Nov. 25 vs. Philadelphia…averaged 8.0 points on .533 shooting and 1.0 rebound during a three-game stretch from March 1-5…assigned to the D-League’s Albuquerque Thunderbirds on March 2…played in one game for the Thunderbirds and posted 14 points, four rebounds and six assists in 28 minutes played…recalled from the Thunderbirds on March 3…missed eight games from Dec. 28 – Jan. 11 with a left fibula contusion…was Inactive on 43 occasions and a DNP-CD for 16 games.

COLLEGE CAREER: Played three seasons at Michigan State and was named All-Big Ten Second Team by media and coaches and Big Ten All-Defensive Team by league’s coaches as a junior…also named to NABC All-District First Team and USBWA All-District honoree after his junior season…scored his 1,000th career-point with a 22-point game versus Northwestern…scored a career-high 31 points against Wisconsin….scored 15 or more points in 21 of 34 games as a junior…dished out a career-high eight assists to go with 26 points versus UW-Green Bay, including a career-best six three-pointers…was named All-Big Ten Honorable Mention by league’s coaches as a sophomore…selected as Most Outstanding Player of the Austin Regional, averaging 13.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in first four games of 2005 NCAA Tournament…scored a season-high 24 points in NCAA Elite Eight versus Kentucky, including 5-6 from behind the arc…shot a team-best .500 from three-point range (10-20) in five NCAA Tournament games…ranked second in the Big Ten in free throw percentage (.848)…finished second on the team in steals (41)…was named to the Big Ten All-Freshman Team…finished third on the team with 33 steals, tied for fifth all-time among MSU freshmen…led team in free-throw percentage (.807) among players with more than 50 attempts, ranking third all-time among MSU freshmen…scored in double figures 11 times…recorded season highs with 15 points and seven rebounds at Syracuse and matched his season high with 15 points versus Wisconsin in the Big Ten Tournament….started 24 of the final 25 games of the season.
