DRAFTED: Selected in the first round (24th overall pick) of the 2004 NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics. HOW ACQUIRED: Acquired along with Wally Szczerbiak from the Seattle SuperSonics and Ben Wallace and Joe Smith from the Chicago Bulls on Feb. 21, 2008. In exchange, the Cavaliers sent Larry Hughes, Drew Gooden, Cedric Simmons and Shannon Brown to the Bulls and Ira Newble and Donyell Marshall to the Sonics. In addition, Cleveland acquired Chicago’s 2009 second round pick and Seattle acquired Adrian Griffin from the Bulls. 2007-08 SEASON: For the Sonics, played in 35 games (5 starts)…averaged 6.8 points, 2.7 rebounds and 3.2 assists in 20.8 minutes per game…scored in double figures in 10 games and had five or more assists on 10 occasions. PROFESSIONAL CAREER: Appeared in 69 games (47 starts) with the Boston Celtics during the 2006-07 season…averaged a career-high 12.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists in 32.1 minutes per game…shot .853 percent (168-197) from the line which ranked 21st in the NBA…scored a career-high 31 points and handed out 10 assists versus Minnesota on March 4, including career highs in free throws made (12) and attempted (14)…recorded a career-high 11 rebounds versus the Los Angeles Clippers on Feb. 2…had 22 points and 11 assists versus Washington on Jan. 28…hit the game-winning shot with 0.9 seconds remaining in overtime versus Charlotte on Nov. 8…during the 2005-06 season, played and started in 71 games…averaged 11.8 points, 4.1 rebounds and 4.6 assists in 34.1 minutes per game…scored 20 or more points eight times…led the team in assists 26 times…dished out a career-high 12 assists at Philadelphia on April 7…scored 30 points at Phoenix on Feb. 22…swiped a career-high five steals at Orlando on Feb. 4… during the 2004-05 season, played in 39 games (7 starts)…averaged 4.5 points, 1.7 rebounds, 1.4 assists and 13.0 minutes per game…scored in double figures seven times…scored a season-high 19 points at Phoenix on Feb. 27…on the Injured List from Dec 1. – Jan. 21 with a fractured right fourth metacarpal and also Nov. 1 – Nov. 26 with a right thumb fracture. PLAYOFF CAREER: During the 2005 Playoffs, played in seven games for the Boston Celtics…averaged 4.1 points, 1.3 rebounds in 16.4 minutes per game…scored 14 points on 5-5 shooting, including 3-3 from three-point range in a Game 4 victory at Indiana on April 30. COLLEGE CAREER: Played three seasons at St. Joseph’s and averaged 5.1 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists in 89 games…as a junior, named First Team All-America by Basketball Times and Honorable Mention All-America by the Associated Press…named First Team All-Atlantic 10… helped lead St. Joe’s to a 30-2 record, including a perfect 27-0 record during the regular season…St. Joseph’s was ranked No. 1 in the national rankings and earned the school’s first-ever No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament…scored a career-high 33 points at Xavier, going 12-12 from the field, including 3-3 from three-point range and 6-6 from the line…named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week four times…set a school record with 37 consecutive free throws made…as a sophomore, named First Team All-Atlantic 10 and conference’s Most Improved Player.
