Today's game 2009-01-05

Today's game 2009-01-05
When: 1 p.m. - Where: Verizon Center - TV/radio: CSN, ESPN 980

Probable starters: Cavaliers - F LeBron James, F Ben Wallace, C Anderson Varejao, G Delonte West, G Mo Williams. Wizards - F Dominic McGuire, F Antawn Jamison, C Etan Thomas, G Caron Butler, G Mike James.

Injuries: Cavaliers - Out: C Zydrunas Ilgauskas (ankle), G Eric Snow (knee). Wizards - Questionable: C Andray Blatche (ankle); Out: G DeShawn Stevenson (back), C Brendan Haywood (wrist), G Gilbert Arenas (knee).

Outlook: The Wizards gave the Cavaliers a scare on Christmas Day, but Washington let the game slip away in the final six minutes. The Wizards won't know until game time whether they will have the services of Blatche (11.8 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists as a starter), who sprained his left ankle Friday in Boston. Youngsters Nick Young and Javaris Crittenton will be counted on off the bench now that Stevenson is out. The Wizards must find a way to finish. They've already proved they can hang with the Cavaliers; sealing the deal comes next. But Cleveland likely will come out strong, hoping to show that the close Christmas battle was just an off night.
