Nenad Krstic scored a season-high 26 points in the Thunder's win over Dallas on Monday. Krstic is averaging 9.2 points for the season but has averaged 10.4 points the past month.
"Nenad finds openings on the court," said coach Scott Brooks. "He knows how to play. Defensively he hasn't gotten the credit through the years with New Jersey. Here he gives us a big body and protects the paint. He doesn't block a lot of shots but he clogs the middle and knows (defensive) rotations." DURANT, GREEN UPDATE
Kevin Durant (sprained ankle) and Jeff Green (lower back) worked out individually rehabbing during Tuesday's practice. Durant could return this weekend but more likely will return some time next week. Green is day-to-day.
SEFOLOSHA FAMILIAR WITH KRSTIC
Because they both played in the Eastern Conference the previous two seasons, Thabo Sefolosha faced Krstic and the Nets four times a season.
"He had (a career high) 29 against us," Sefolosha said of his Bulls' days. "He's a good player, a great shooter for his size. When he makes shots like he did (Monday night) it spreads the defense out."
SCOUTING WASHINGTON
? The Wizards have played all season without Gilbert Arenas. ? Antawn Jamison (21.6) leads Washington in scoring. ? Caron Butler (20.3) is the other big threat but sat out Monday's game with a tight hamstring. Butler is questionable tonight. ? Nick Young (10.3) and Andray Blatche (10.0) are the only other two players who average double figures.
SMITH, CAVS AGREE TO TERMS
Former Thunder forward Joe Smith and the Cleveland Cavaliers have agreed to terms on a one-year contract, his agent told the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
"After careful consideration of his options, Joe has decided that the Cavs are the best fit," agent Dan Fegan told the paper.
Smith can not officially sign with the Cavaliers until he clears waivers today. But that's the final procedural hurdle in a signing that has been expected since the 33-year-old Smith was waived on Sunday.
Smith averaged 6.6 points and 4.5 rebounds in 36 games for the Thunder.
