PLAYER NOTES: --While leaving the Cavaliers' locker room in Milwaukee on Tuesday, C Zydrunas Ilgauskas looked like a 7-foot-3 ghost. He missed his first game of the season against the Bucks.
"It was a tough day (on Tuesday)," he said. "(I took a) bunch of pills. I dropped about eight pounds in a day and a half. I was really weak. I can't breathe very well. It was a virus."
Ilgauskas and similarly-afflicted athletic trainer Max Benton, were suffering from upper respiratory infections.
--F LeBron James said he must learn his new players' likes and dislikes.
"(I'll need) a few more practices," he said. "If I have to sit down with the guys and ask where they like it, I will. I feel comfortable with Joe (Smith), getting it to him in the mid range. Does Ben (Wallace) want a bounce pass or chest pass or does he want it at the rim?"
--F LeBron James said it was important for the Cavs to make a move.
"We had the same exact team and got swept in the Finals," he said. "Hopefully, we can make some great things happen."
--F LeBron James likes what he's seen of G Delonte West, one of four players acquired in the three-team trade last week.
"He brings us a push guard that we haven't had," he said. "He can push it up court and get into fast break quicker. Defensively, he's pretty good. That was a surprise."
West had seven points, seven assists and eight rebounds in the loss to Milwaukee on Tuesday.
--In his second game back after missing 13 games with an injury, F/C Anderson Varejao had a strange stat line. He did not attempt a shot while playing 27 minutes. He did compile four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one blocked shot.
