Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2008-05-01

Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2008-05-01
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Delonte West, Shooting guard Wally Szczerbiak, Small forward LeBron James, Power forward Ben Wallace, Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Bench -- Guard Daniel Gibson, Guard/forward Devin Brown, Forward Joe Smith, Center Anderson Varejao

PLAYER NOTES:

--C Zydrunas Ilgauskas is averaging 19 points and 8.7 rebounds in the three home games. He's averaging 9.0 points in the two games on the road.

--F/C Anderson Varejao has struggled in the series against the Wizards. "If I don't think he's playing well, we have the luxury of playing four 'bigs,'" Brown said. "It's up to me to make a decision and go in another direction. The Ben (Wallace) and Joe (Smith) combination was terrific. 'Z' (Zydrunas Ilgauskas) sat for an extended period, too." F Joe Smith had eight points and seven rebounds (five offensive). His only field goal was a three-point play at the end of the first half. F/C Ben Wallace pulled down 12 rebounds.

--G Daniel Gibson made four three-point goals in Sunday's game. "(Gibson) is one of the best shooters in this league," James said. "He was in the top five (in three-point percentage) all year. He's been in a lot of playoffs games in a lot of hostile environments. Every shot he took, I thought was going in."

--G Delonte West had five three-pointers, including the game-winner with 5.4 seconds left. The Cavs set franchise records in Game 4 with three-pointers made (13), attempted (28) and three-pointers in a half (eight).
