Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2009-03-22

Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2009-03-22
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mo Williams, Shooting guard Delonte West, Small forward LeBron James, Power forward Anderson Varejao, Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Bench -- Guard Sasha Pavlovic, Forward/Center Joe Smith, Guard Daniel Gibson.

PLAYER NOTES:

--Disparaging remarks about Cleveland by TNT analyst Charles Barkley on Thursday didn't faze the Cavs. "We know the type of commentator he is," G Daniel Gibson said. "He's confrontational. We enjoy watching him. Charles will be Charles."

--G Daniel Gibson is a native of Houston, but he said, "I love Cleveland. It took a while to get used to the snow being from Texas. The city, the people, it's a great city to be in. I've enjoyed being here."

--C Zydrunas Ilgauskas reached 10,000 career points in the first quarter of the Atlanta game on Saturday. He joined F LeBron James, former G Austin Carr and ex-C Brad Daugherty as the only Cleveland players to reach that plateau.

--F/C Anderson Varejao suffered a right quadriceps contusion when he banged knees with Portland C Greg Oden during the first quarter of Thursday's game. He remained in the game and was re-evaluated Friday at Cleveland Clinic Courts. He was back in the starting lineup Saturday, however, and was his normal self on the boards.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Eric Snow (knee) will retire as soon as the Cavs receive a disability claim from the insurance company.

--F/C Ben Wallace (broken fibula) is out another two weeks.
