Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2009-12-04

Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2009-12-04ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mo Williams, Shooting guard Anthony Parker, Small forward LeBron James, Power forward J.J. Hickson, Center Shaquille O'Neal. Bench -- Forward Anderson Varejao, Guard Daniel Gibson, Forward Jamario Moon, Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Guard Delonte West.

PLAYER NOTES:

--Among active players, only Lakers G Kobe Bryant, Spurs F Tim Duncan, Mavericks F Dirk Nowitzki and Celtics F Paul Pierce have played more games with only one team than Cavs C Zydrunas Ilgauskas.

--The Cavs had trouble against the elite teams last season. This year, they've beaten Orlando, Miami and Dallas with C Shaquille O'Neal in the lineup.

"He's been good to have his presence out there," Cavs coach Mike Brown said. "He may not score all the time, but he'll help you get in the bonus quicker. He picked up three fouls on one possession (on Saturday against Dallas)."

--G Delonte West recorded 10 points and 10 assists against Dallas. He came back against the Suns on Wednesday and had eight points and six assists.

"It gave us another guy to play pick-and-roll with LeBron (James)," Cavs coach Mike Brown said. "LeBron doesn't have to handle (the ball) as much and he can still be involved in the play."

--C Shaquille O'Neal refused to discuss the Tiger Woods incident on Tuesday.

"Tiger is my guy," he said. "I hope he's OK. The problem is when people disguising as media are putting out reports. People believe what they read."

He said with the Internet, it's almost impossible to stay out of the public eye.

"Probably not, with all the blogs and all the stuff going on," O'Neal said. "As long as guys aren't committing criminal activities, nothing else really matters. If you want the dirt on me, call me up. I'll tell you what I did."

O'Neal is going through a very public separation from wife Shaunie O'Neal. Woods was involved in a single-car accident on Friday outside his Isleworth mansion in Florida. On Wednesday, he admitted to "transgressions" and asked for privacy for himself and his family.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--F Leon Powe (ACL left knee, microfracture surgery left knee) will miss the first half of the season recovering from the surgeries. He's expected to return in January or February.
