Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2008-11-30

Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2008-11-30
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mo Williams, Shooting guard Delonte West, Small forward LeBron James, Power forward Ben Wallace, Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Bench -- Guard Daniel Gibson, Forward Wally Szczerbiak, Center Anderson Varejao.

PLAYER NOTES:

--One of coach Mike Brown's goals this year was to hold down F LeBron James' minutes this season. James played just 31 minutes against Golden State on Friday and still had a huge game. He finished with 23 points, eight assists, seven rebounds and three steals. He also made nine of 13 field-goal attempts. The starters sat out the entire fourth quarter, which was important since the Cavaliers played at Milwaukee on Saturday. James has averaged just 26 minutes in the past three games.

--Until this season, G Delonte West has not been known as a defensive stopper. Well, that's changing. He held Warriors G/F Stephen Jackson to 2-of-11 shooting Friday. "I have to applaud Delonte again," coach Mike Brown said. In recent weeks, West has stopped some All-Star-caliber players in their tracks, including New Jersey's Vince Carter and Atlanta's Joe Johnson.

--G/F Wally Szczerbiak scored nine points and grabbed a season-high nine rebounds against Golden State. He hasn't had as many rebounds since he had 10 against Phoenix on Feb. 1, 2006.

--Independent studio Lionsgate has picked up F LeBron James' documentary, "More Than a Game."

"With Lionsgate being one of the up-and-coming distribution companies, we're really excited about being a part of that team," James said. He said if everything goes well, the movie will be out in the fall of 2009.

"The film is more than just a basketball movie," James said. "It can be inspiring to a lot of kids, a lot of people and a lot of coaches."

MEDICAL WATCH

--G Eric Snow (knee) will retire as soon as the Cavs receive a disability claim from the insurance company.
