Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2008-11-20

Cleveland Cavaliers Roster Report 2008-11-20
ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mo Williams, Shooting guard

Delonte West, Small forward LeBron James, Power forward Ben Wallace,

Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Bench -- Guard Daniel Gibson, Center

Anderson Varejao, Guard Sasha Pavlovic, Forward J.J. Hickson.

PLAYER NOTES:

--G Mo Williams is ranked third in the NBA in free throw

percentage at 96.8 percent (30-of-31). Only Toronto's Jose Calderon

and Houston's Luis Scola (both shooting 100 percent) are ranked ahead

of him.

--G/F Wally Szczerbiak wasn't with the team on Wednesday in

Detroit. The Cavs left him in New York on Tuesday to deal with

personal matters. Coach Mike Brown didn't say when he would return to

the team. G/F Sasha Pavlovic took Szczerbiak's place in the rotation,

and F Darnell Jackson was on the active roster for the first time this

season. Jackson missed the first 10 games with a fractured left wrist.

"If we're up big or down big, that's when we'll need (Jackson),"

Brown said. "I mean real big."

--F/C Ben Wallace might not be beloved anymore at The Palace. He

left in free agency two years ago.

"We were family," Wallace said. "I had a great time and a lot of

success while I was here. This is where I learned to play winning

basketball."

He's now booed by the Pistons' fans.

"Now, I have that love/hate relationship with the fans," he said.

"They are not going to cheer for you when you come in with an opposing

team."

Wallace played with the Pistons from 2000-01 to 2005-06 and helped

them win the 2004 NBA championship.

--Somewhat lost in the third quarter was C Zydrunas Ilgauskas'

second three-pointer of the season with 7:31 remaining. He's now

2-of-5 from behind the arc this season.

MEDICAL WATCH:

--G Eric Snow (knee) will retire as soon as the Cavs receive a

disability claim from the insurance company.
