ROTATION: Starters -- Point guard Mo Williams, Shooting guard Delonte West, Small forward LeBron James, Power forward Ben Wallace, Center Zydrunas Ilgauskas. Bench -- Guard Daniel Gibson, Forward Wally Szczerbiak, Center Anderson Varejao.
PLAYER NOTES: --G Eric Snow attended Thursday's game. He said he was getting his knee checked out by doctors, but that there's nothing new on the injury settlement. He said he's having fun working for NBA TV. Once his injury claim is settled, he will retire from the NBA.
--F LeBron James said he watched the Phoenix-Houston game recently when several players mixed it up. He said the closest he ever came to a fight was in high school when St. Vincent-St. Mary faced Brush and he was fouled hard by Arcs standout Roy Hall. He also said in last year's playoff series against Washington, he was furious after hard hits by Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson.
--F Ben Wallace, who was questionable for the game with a bruised knee, was sensational defensively. He held Jazz F Carlos Boozer to 17 points on 5-of-12 shooting. "(Wallace is) an intimidator down there on the post," F LeBron James said. "He doesn't rely on help. For the most part, he plays people straight up."
Coach Mike Brown's rotation went out the window in the game because he wanted Wallace on the floor when Boozer played. Wallace played a season-high 35 minutes and had one point, 10 rebounds, four steals and two blocks.
--F Darnell Jackson is still recovering from a fracture left wrist. He said he's not been cleared to have contact yet in practice. "I can't extend it all the way," he said. "I don't want to take a chance of re-breaking it."
Jackson is close to practicing. "I can't get down and frustrated with myself because I'm hurt," he said. "I don't want to have surgery and sit out even longer."
MEDICAL WATCH:
--G Eric Snow (knee) will retire as soon as the Cavs receive a disability claim from the insurance company.
--F Darnell Jackson (fractured left wrist) had the cast removed and is wearing a brace. He's close to returning to the practice court.
