--If the Los Angeles Clippers buy out veteran G Sam Cassell's contract, he probably won't be coming to Cleveland. A league source said the Cavs would probably pass on trying to sign Cassell. Before the Cavs' trade on Thursday, a source said there had been some discussion internally about Cassell.
--Cavs coach Mike Brown was ejected for the first time in his career by official Mark Ayotte with 41.2 seconds left in the third quarter of the Cavs' loss. Brown erupted on the sideline after Celtics F Leon Powe's lay-up and foul. Cavs lead assistant John Kuester was in charge in Brown's absence. QUOTE TO NOTE: "I felt both shocked and bad.
