Cleveland Cavaliers Notes, Quotes 2008-06-18
--The Cavs are keeping their eye on the Hank Egan situation very closely. There are some who think the 70-year-old coach could retire, which would open up a spot on Mike Brown's staff. Could that be filled by the retiring Eric Snow?

--If Ohio State forward/center Kosta Koufos (7-1, 265) is on the board during the June 26 draft, the Cavs have to take a long, hard look at him. His workout last week in Seattle against UCLA's Kevin Love was very impressive. Koufos has scheduled workouts for teams drafting at Nos. 3, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 16 and 17. Teams like the fact he's 7-1 and has an 89-inch wingspan. He's also the second-youngest player in the draft (he didn't turn 19 until the college season was almost over). Right now, the thinking is he won't be on the board at 19.

QUOTE TO NOTE: "By having our fans be able to watch games with some of the young players we may happen to have with the BayHawks, we can create an even greater fan base. It's a great thing. From a basketball standpoint, we'll be able to come and watch games and support the guys we have here and also be able to scout players. Other than the NBA, this is probably the most scouted professional league in the world. To be able to have it this close is very important." -- Cavs GM Danny Ferry, on the Cavs' new D-League affiliate in Erie, Pa.
