--Chris Grant will be staying with the Cavs -- for the time being at least. Grant, an assistant general manager with the Cavs, turned down the Atlanta Hawks' GM job on Tuesday. The Hawks didn't waste any time moving on, as they named veteran Rick Sund as their GM on Wednesday. The Hawks got as far as talking contract numbers with Grant, who has been with the Cavs for three years. He's in charge of the draft and also aids GM Danny Ferry in contract negotiations and in evaluating pro personnel.
--According to the website 82games.com, the Cavs were the worst 2-point shooting team in the league last season. They shot 35.5 percent on 2-point shots. QUOTE TO NOTE: "Eric (Snow) and Larry (Brown) talked directly about (a coaching job). They have a special relationship. Having Larry as a coaching mentor would be huge." -- Agent Steve Kauffman, on Snow possibly joining the Bobcats as an assistant coach.
