--G Daniel Gibson isn't close to returning to practice. Gibson is still plagued by soreness in his left big toe. Gibson was injured in the Dec. 10 Philadelphia game at Quicken Loans Arena. He's missed the last five games. "It's hard to say (when I'll be back)," Gibson said. "I'm going day to day. I've started shooting drills. I'm not ready for full-contact drills." The biggest problem is he's unable to push off. When he does, there's a lot of pain. He could miss the entire three-game road trip.
--The Cavs' 13-0 start at home is the best home record in franchise history. They are the only undefeated team at home in the NBA. In those 13 home games, Cleveland is averaging 106.5 points (fourth in the NBA) and is shooting .498 (second), while holding opponents to 89.2 points per game (fourth) on only .415 shooting (first). QUOTE TO NOTE: "For him, you're talking about a guy going home. He's one of the best point guards in the league. He doesn't have anything to prove. He's just trying to fit in. The way he plays, it's easy for him to fit in. It's not like (Allen Iverson). (Billups is) not the main guy. A.I. went to a team that was always known for playing team basketball. Chauncey will come in and not demand the ball. He will wait on the ball and wait for his opportunities and be aggressive in spots. That's how he played in Detroit. It was easy for him to adapt." -- Cavs guard Mo Williams, on Nuggets guard Chauncey Billups.
