--C Zydrunas Ilgauskas, sidelined due to a sprained ankle, said he has not given a lot of thought to his contract situation. He has an opt-out clause in his contract for next year, which he won't use. He hasn't thought much about signing another contract. "I'll see how I feel," Ilgauskas said. "If we're contending for the championship and my body feels well, then why not? I'll have to see how I'm doing."
--As expected, F Antonio McDyess re-signed with Detroit last week. He said the only other team he considered was the Boston Celtics. Evidently, the Cavs were not among the running.
