Lost in the euphoria of their Game 4 victory, the Cavaliers had 19 turnovers on Sunday. It's starting to become a point of concern for coach Mike Brown. "We have to take care of the basketball," he said. "We had just one turnover in the last seven or eight minutes (of Sunday's game). That was huge. We need to quit turning the ball over."
Forward LeBron James had a game-high five turnovers in the game, while Delonte West had four. In fact, as well as West played Sunday, he's had eight turnovers in the last two games. They are averaging 15.3 turnovers in the series, compared to the Wizards' 12.8.
CAVS 100, WIZARDS 97: Guard Delonte West buried a clutch three-pointer with 5.4 seconds remaining for the game-winner in the Cavaliers' victory over Washington in Sunday's nationally televised playoff game. The Cavs have a commanding 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. They'll try to close out the Eastern Conference series on Wednesday in Game 5.
West, acquired from Seattle in the three-team trade on Feb. 21, hit the biggest shot of his career. Everyone in the arena had seen it all before. Damon Jones closed out the first-round playoff series over the Wizards in Game 6 on May 5, 2006, with a 17-foot jumper with 4.8 seconds remaining.
"I'm sure Washington is having a flashback," Cavs forward LeBron James said. "We've definitely hit some big shots in this place."
Jones never got off the bench on Sunday, but West finished with 21 points, five assists and three steals. He made 7-of-12 shots, 5-of-8 from behind the arc. James drew double teams from the Wizards, but still responded with a game-high 34 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.
