LeBron James wasn't happy with comments that TNT analyst Charles Barkley made about how James dealt with free agent questions in New York on Tuesday.
"LeBron James is one of my favorite players, but he's been 100 percent wrong in this situation," he said. "It's unfair to the city of Cleveland and it's unfair to the Cleveland Cavaliers team. "If it was a year away, it would still be unfortunate. I wish he would sign a lifetime deal with the Cavaliers."
James didn't mince any words when asked about Barkley's comments.
"He's stupid," he said. "That's all I've got to say about that."
CAVALIERS 97, BUCKS 85: The Cavaliers turned to their money player to guide them home. The pesky Bucks, who had won three of four games against the Cavs last year, once again had them on the ropes.
But forward LeBron James took over in the fourth quarter of Cleveland's triumph on Saturday at the Bradley Center. James started attacking the basket in the late going, and the Bucks (7-12) had no answer.
"I had to be aggressive," James said. "Our outside shots weren't flowing tonight. I took it upon myself to get into the lane and create for myself and create for others."
James scored 11 consecutive points for the Cavs (14-3) down the stretch. In all, he had 14 of his game-high 32 points in the fourth quarter.
"Tonight was one of those games where they looked to me (to take over)," James said. "I've done it in the past."
And, he'll do it in the future.
The Cavaliers are off to their best start ever and have won 13 of the last 14 games. They've also ripped off five consecutive wins since a loss at Detroit on Nov. 19.
They also got huge contributions from center Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who had 23 points and 17 rebounds -- both season highs -- and little-used reserve Sasha Pavlovic, who slowed down Milwaukee guard Michael Redd in the fourth quarter.
